Tree of Night by Truman Capote
book jacket
A Tree of Night is a collection of Truman Capotes earliest short stories. These stories are heavily symbolic fables that portray characters in nightmarish situations, reflecting the anxiety and feelings of insecurity that the author experienced.
In order for the book jacket to portray both the primal fear of the boogey man and the timely cold war anxieties - I created a in 1940's toille wallpaper with drawings that represented each of the short stories in the book.
